Tianjin Museum: A Day of Cultural Exploration & Hi

The Tianjin Museum houses over 200,000 collections with an enormous time span, encompassing everything from ancient bronze ware, exquisite ceramics, and jade articles to precious calligraphy and paintings, as well as a variety of ancient books and documents. The permanent exhibitions are rich and colorful. The Origin of Tianjin's Humanities on the first floor takes you back to trace Tianjin's development from ancient times to the Qing Dynasty. Treasures Shining Through the Ages - Exhibition of Fine Collections on the second floor displays the most representative art treasures of the museum, offering you a feast for the eyes. A Century of China Witnessed in Tianjin on the third floor focuses on modern Tianjin, telling the ups and downs of Tianjin in politics, economy, culture and other aspects from the Opium War to the founding of New China, highlighting its key position in China's modernization drive.​

In addition, the museum regularly holds various temporary exhibitions showcasing the cultural and artistic essence from both home and abroad. For example, the "Unified Under Heaven - Thematic Exhibition of Cultural Relics from the Qin and Han Dynasties" brings together nearly 400 pieces (sets) of precious cultural relics from 16 cultural and museum institutions in 11 provinces and cities, including bronze ware and pottery figurines, allowing you to appreciate the magnificent atmosphere of the Qin and Han dynasties. The "Exhibition of Fine Cultural Relics from the Silk Road" selects cultural relics from 18 cultural and museum institutions in five northwest provinces (autonomous regions) and the museum's own collection, presenting the development context of the Silk Road.​
