Great day trip! The bullet train ride was smooth and the Southern Great Wall is stunning without the Beijing crowds. Ziyang Old Street had amazing food. A bit pricey for a solo traveler, but worth it for the convenience.

Good experience overall. The bullet train ride was smooth and the Southern Great Wall is quite impressive with fewer crowds than Beijing. Ziyang Old Street was charming. However, the 13-hour duration felt a bit long for a day trip, and the schedule was quite tight.
